This is a curious premise in “sales techniques”. 🤨
People buy what they want 😍 , not what they need.🤓
Many times, we want to sell from our perspective what our customer needs, and we are amazed by what they want, and in the end, they buy. We never know what they’re looking for.
Example: I went to buy a car, and the salesperson was talking to me about tires, the engine… I was looking for one that’s easy to secure for children in the back. The salesperson didn’t understand me and kept talking about the technical details, fascinating but I wasn’t interested. I went to another dealership.
Example: I want to lose weight and I buy a cake… why? Because I want to! Even though I know it’s against me.
Do I go to the gym? No, because I don’t want to, period.🙄
Do I need it? Yes, but I don’t want to.
Don’t believe me? 😏
Look at your Christmas or Black Friday purchases… or those from these sales.
That’s why you shouldn’t make pre-judgments, LISTEN WELL, and GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT, not what you want or think is best for them.
